The WhistlePig 12 Year Old Old World Cask Finish is a premium rye wh***ey that marries American craft distilling with European w**emaking heritage. After aging for 12 years in new charred American oak barrels, the straight rye wh***ey is finished separately in three distinct European w**e casks—63% Madeira, 30% Sauternes, and 7% Port—before being blended together and bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV). This precise cask composition tempers the bold black pepper, clove, and baking spices of the high-rye mashbill with rich layers of dried fruit, honeyed sweetness, dark chocolate, and subtle plum notes, creating a round, complex, and sophisticated sip.

This 33-year-old Speyside single malt was distilled at The Macallan Distillery on June 12, 1989, and bottled in June 2022 at cask strength of 57.3% ABV, with a limited yield of 172 bottles. Bottled by Blackadder under its signature “Raw Cask” series, this wh**ky presents the unadulterated profile of late legendary late 1980s heavy-bodied Macallan character. Presented in an elegant crystal decanter, this wh**ky offers an extraordinarily rich, mouth-coating profile filled with dark dried fruits, bitter chocolate, polished antique oak, and pipe to***co, culminating in a long, warming finish of dark cocoa and aromatic wood spices.

Distilled in March 2015, and drawn from a single first-fill bourbon barrel (Cask No. 2670) in June 2025 at cask strength, it offers a deeply expressive tasting experience. The dram leaps out with a vibrant collision of toasted oak, charred vanilla bean, and dark caramel, underscored by Pacific Northwest malted barley, warm baking spices, and a rich, oily finish that lingeringly coats the palate.
