This stunning 𝐌𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐮 delivers crystalline citrus, white flowers, and crushed stones in a signature reductive style. More delicate than typical Meursault, it shows vibrant acidity carrying the finesse through a mineral-driven finish. A crowd pleaser now, but will further improve with age. These wines showcase Pataille‘s philosophy of ”respecting nature above all.“ His southeast-facing vineyards (260-320m altitude) feature exceptional terroir of chalky-clay soils mixed with pebbles, perfect for drainage. His minimalist approach includes wild yeast fermentation, partial whole-cluster fermentation, and careful oak integration (15-30% new). Certified organic since 2008, Pataille believes great wine should prioritize texture over mere aromatic display.
