Thirsty Thursday is here and tonight we’re going rye deep 🥃

Join us from 5–7 pm for “Rye Styles: Oh, you think you know Rye?” and explore the bold, spicy, and surprising world of American rye whiskey. From Pennsylvania’s punchy Monongahela style to Maryland’s smooth, corn-kissed classics, we’re pouring history by the glass.

We’ll be tasting Roknar Maryland Style Rye (based on George Washington’s own mash bill 😲), Far North’s single varietal Hazlet rye with rich caramel and vanilla notes 🍮, the high-proof but dangerously smooth Pikesville 🔥, and the earthy, spice-packed A. Overholt Monongahela Mash 🌾

And to keep things fresh, we’re mixing up a Summer Rye Spritz—
🥃 2 oz Maryland Style Rye
🌸 1 oz elderflower tonic syrup
🍋 ½ oz lemon juice
💧 2 oz club soda

Shake it, strain it, top it—sip something bright with a rye backbone. Tastings are free, bottles are on sale, and we’ve got stories to share.

Blind Manhattan Tasting Tonight at the Spirit Shop! 🥃

From 5–7 PM, we’re diving into a cocktail classic ✨the Manhattan✨ with a twist.

You’ll try four Manhattans, all made with the same vermouth, same bitters, same recipe... but each with a different whiskey.
No labels. No spoilers. Just your tastebuds leading the way.

Only after you pick your favorite will we reveal which whiskey was which.

This cocktail has been around since the 1880s, and tonight we’re putting its timeless formula to the test — spirit, sweet, bitter — and letting the whiskey do the talking.

The name of this wine is quite a mouthful (all puns intended 😉), so let’s break it down. Paltrinieri Lambrusco di Sorbara Radice Vino Frizzante Secco, 2023 🍷

Crisp, dry, lightly sparkling, and refreshingly far from the syrupy Lambruscos of the past. The perfect weekday wine? We think so.

Paltrinieri is the family and the winery, now in its fourth generation, led by Angelo and Barbara in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Lambrusco di Sorbara refers to both the grape and the region, considered the finest in Modena. Radice means “roots,” a nod to the traditional second fermentation in the bottle (just like Champagne).

The result? A fresh, herbal, subtly fruity wine that’s light, joyful, and pairs beautifully with just about anything.
