Stop by this Friday 9/25 from 5-7pm and you'll find Joanie from Kato Sake Works pouring samples of these tasty sakes! 🍶✨

We have their Yuzu 🍋 (a bit drier, and made with premium yuzu), Botanikaru (a sake infused with botanicals that changes seasonally, this one is rose and cardamom 🌹!), and Kappu, a fresh junmai sake with a silky finish. And maybe a limited secret option 👀

This is a free in-store tasting, so it won't be as in depth as our classes, but it WILL be a good time, and a chance to taste our new additions :).

New in stock - delicious southern French reds by Maison Drēno in Corbières 🍓🍒🍓🍒🍓🍒🍓🍒🍓
Virgil Drēno left behind city life for the hard, yet rewarding, work on the vineyard. After working at w**eries in Corsica for several years, he decided to start his own project and found 3 hectares of vines for sale in the south of France. He is farming completely organically, using only natural herbal treatments for the health of the vines and soil, and harvesting by hand. Fermentation is done with native yeasts, and all of his w**es are made without any additions, nor fining or filtration. Offering a pure expression of terroir and the rich, ripe fruit of the region, the w**es are made with short macerations, which keeps them lifted and drinkable all year round. The labels are illustrations made by Lisa Mouchet that are specific to each cuvée.

Speaking of natural w**e, Clos du Tue-Boeuf, along with Marcel Richaud, Dard and Ribo, Yvon Metras and a handful of others were at the heart of the nascent natural w**e movement in mid-90’s Paris.
They are undoubtedly the impetus for spreading this philosophy in the Loire, which remains a hotbed for the style to this day. As Hervé Villemade, himself part of the the second wave of natural w**emakers of the late 90’s, puts it: “

Howdy Folks, comin' up on Tuesday the 19th we've got a Meet the W**emaker event. We're spending time with Nicola from Elios W**ery!! Coming all the way from Sicily, we'll be learning about his process on the vineyard and why he chose to make natural w**e.

RSVP Required! This class will be part lecture and part Q&A style, where you'll have a chance to ask natural w**e questions you've been pondering over. So come on by and let's sip some tasty w**es while we hang out with our neighbors and hear about cool natural w**e. Seats are limited, so be sure to RSVP through the link in our bio. Le Monde est Petit is a small-scale natural w**ery located in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, France. Founded in 2018 by Arnaud Legros and Hervé Cormier, the estate focuses on artisanal, “living” w**es produced with minimal intervention.
