Talisker 43 Year Old Special Release 2021 “Xpedition Oak” Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A very special release from The Isle of Skye’s Talisker Distillery: adventurer James Aiken carried barrel staves on a solo transatlantic journey, retracing the route of the Talisker Team’s 3,264-mile rowing challenge. Upon their return from this EXPEDITION, the staves were used in 10 casks of whisky aged for at least 43 years, creating a unique finishing process that infused the whisky with the spirit of the sea.

This is one of the oldest Taliskers ever released, with only 1,830 bottles produced—commemorating the distillery’s founding year of 1830 and featuring a piece of the actual stave. It boasts a highly rated 92+ on Whiskybase and 93 points on Whiskyfun! For collectors and fans of Talisker’s signature maritime style, this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime bottle🌊🥃

A Discontinued Old Bottling and much difficult to find 🥃 Ardbeg Guaranteed 17 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the few Ardbegs with an age statement.

The first bottling of the 17 years old marked the revival of Ardbeg’s legacy after the new owners took over in 1997 but was sadly discontinued thereafter. Gentle peat bringing though a mix of malt and vanillins on the nose. Peat is more present on the palate with a chewy middle and touch of cocoa. Finishes with a hint of liquorice and dry toast and continues for some time.🥃🥃

已停產的 17 年舊瓶裝單一麥芽蘇格蘭 #威士忌，現在真的很難找。它是少數幾款有年齡標示的 Ardbeg。第一次推出的 17 年瓶裝，標誌著 Ardbeg 在 1997 年被 Glenmorangie 收購後的復興，但可惜之後就停止生產了。香氣中有輕柔的泥煤味，還帶著麥芽和香草的香氣。喝下去時，泥煤味更強，口感中還有點咀嚼感，還有一絲可可的味道。尾韻則有甘草和烤吐司的味道，持續的時間也挺久的。

🥃Longrow 1995 Tokaji Wood Limited Edition 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This expression was matured for 8 years in refill bourbon barrels, followed by an additional 2 years in fresh Tokaji (Hungarian sweet wine) casks. The 1995 vintage Longrow is part of the wood expressions released by the distillery in 2005, with a total outturn of 7,440 bottles.

Nose: A sweet blend of raisins, plums, and caramel, with hints of peat and light smoke alongside to***co.

Palate: Dry and full-bodied with a creamy texture, bursting with berries and raisins complemented by herbs and peat.

Finish:A long finish featuring berry jam and toffee apple, with subtle hints of spicy smoke at the end.

🥃 Glenrothes 1995 - 2011 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenrothes often bottles a selection of various vintages under their “Reserve” releases or offers them individually as a “Single Vintage.” This particular bottle is the 1995 vintage, released in 2011.
