An evening dedicated to the craft and heritage of Nikka Wh**ky.
 
At The Lounge & Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, guests joined Nobuyuki Kobayashi, NIKKA WH**KY Regional Manager, for an intimate journey through the story of Nikka and the legacy of its founder, Masataka Taketsuru.
 
Across four courses, the dinner explored different expressions from the Nikka Wh**ky portfolio, with Miyagikyo 10 Years Old, Taketsuru Pure Malt, Yoichi Single Malt and Yoichi 10 Years Old each paired with a specially created dish.
 
More than a tasting, the evening offered guests the opportunity to hear directly from Nobuyuki about the people, places and craftsmanship behind each wh**ky.
 
Thank you to Nobuyuki for sharing his knowledge with us, and to The Lounge & Bar and The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong team for bringing the evening together.

Walking On Sunshine is a vibrant non-alcoholic serve built around Ambar. Lacto-fermented carrot and calamansi soda bring earthiness, citrus, and sparkle, while a finishing touch of nasturtium keeps every sip bright, refreshing, and full of light. Looking for something with a little more kick? It can also be enjoyed with Reposado Tequila.

Smooth Operator is The Opposites’s take on the Martinez, the timeless bridge between a Manhattan and a Martini. Tokki Soju & Sonbi Gold Label and BALDORIA VERMOUTH Bianco meet papaya, Nixta Licor de Elote 🌽, and orange bitters to create a cocktail that is golden, silky, and aromatic.

On 18 September, Nobuyuki Kobayashi, Nikka Wh**ky Regional Manager, joins The Lounge & Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong for a special four-course wh**ky pairing dinner.
 
The evening will trace the legacy of Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru and the distinctive character of its two iconic distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, through a menu paired with:
