Shopping for Old World wines can be complicated. Labels are much harder to understand, particularly with German wines. So, here's a short guide to keep in mind when looking for the perfect bottle...

Fun Fact: Spätburgunder is Pinot Noir! Many German producers like to pay homage to Burgundy and its grapes. Other wines include: Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) and Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc).

Bonus Fact: Trocken means dry - this is especially good to know when shopping for German wine!
