Someone asked us if Crémant is just cheap Ch*****ne. Fair question, and the answer is a firm no. Same traditional method, bubbles made in the bottle, just from other French regions. W**e dads are tough to buy wh**ky for. Most wh**ky isn’t their thing. These are the exception. 🥃👨🏼

They’re aged in old w**e casks, so the wh**ky picks up the w**e’s flavour over time. You get dried fruit and nutty notes, smoother, not w**ey at all. Easiest way in for someone who’s never liked wh**ky.

Kavalan Concertmaster at $158.88 is the safe pick. Amontillado ($449) and Moscatel ($550) are for when you know he’ll love it. Amber Meadow sits in between at $343.95.

Suntory's whiskies build on each other. Harmony's the starting point, Blender's Choice is a step up, then Yamazaki and Hakushu split off, one richer, one greener. He'll clock the upgrade straight away.
