Octomore 17 has landed.
The latest series from Bruichladdich brings together three distinct expressions of its super-heavily peated Islay single malt - 17.1, 17.2 and 17.3.
Octomore is known for pushing peat to the extreme while still delivering remarkable balance, elegance and complexity.
Barrel & Batch is first to market in Australia, with the full series available exclusively through us for the first two weeks. Available now online and in-store, or via Click & Collect.

Octomore 17.1
The starting point of the 17 Series, matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels.
Expect vanilla custard, toasted coconut and ripe pear, with malt sweetness, coastal salinity and layered peat smoke bringing balance and depth.
Refined, elegant and a clear expression of Octomore’s signature peat.
Octomore 17.2
Matured in second-fill French oak before being finished in first-fill Port barriques, 17.2 takes the series in a richer, more fruit-driven direction.
Ripe red berries, cassis and toasted oak lead into clove, earthy spice and deep peat smoke.
Rich, vibrant and layered, with the Port influence adding depth without overpowering the spirit.
Octomore 17.3
The most complex cask make-up of the three, combining first-fill bourbon with second-fill Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, Eiswein and Syrah casks.
Coastal peat smoke and sea spray come first, followed by salted caramel, toasted coconut, vanilla and citrus.
Powerful, maritime and layered, with sweetness and salinity sitting underneath the smoke.
