It’s the perfect Father’s Day gift for a dad who knows a good bottle when he tastes one - classic, solid but don’t ask him to share, it may become his “wine and only”. *insert dad joke laugh here*

The sun might not be out but we are back open and ready for the weekend! Come through SPON tonight for our $8 Happy Hour Wines 3pm - 6pm as we get ready for a much-deserved post work drink.

After a few wild years of pouring funky wine, stacking fridges, and making King Street a little weirder (in the best way), it’s time for to say goodbye to SPON.

This week marks our last hurrah before we hand the keys over to the new crew—Neet Aujla and Lakhwinder Singh, a husband-and-wife team with a big love for craft beer and natty wine. They officially take over on Sunday 18 May, and we couldn’t be happier to see SPON land in such good hands.

SPON will be closed on Sunday 18 May to Tuesday 20 May for the handover, but the fridges, the shelves, and the friendly faces behind the bar will all stay put. If you’ve ever had a weird sour beer here, nerded out over pét-nat with one of our staff, or just grabbed a bottle on your way to a dinner party—we’d love for you to swing by one more time. Let’s have a final drink together before we move on to the next thing.
