Whoo-hoo! Back in action after being gone too long! Westmalle Extra is back in the building, but most likely not for long. This is honestly my favorite of the Westmalle lineup: light, delicate, and possibly even transcendent. At a mere 4.8% ABV, it's refreshing as hell. A truly beautifully made product, not to be missed for any fan of Trappist ales. We have a good amount of these, but they truly don't last too long - don't wait if you're interested.

An important B**r Public Service Announcement: the new Barrel Theory brews have just arrived! We received the full array this week: Rain Drops, BT Lite, TDH Shooter McGavin, Bus Station Slot Machine, and Jagged Little Pils! We only received 1 case of each, except Rain Drops, which we received 2 cases of! If you are interested in these, get here ASAP - Barrel Theory brews never last long. They won't make it to Friday!

Highlight of the day: Back Channel Brewing's Money Bags! An absolutely knock-your-socks-off delicious Berliner-Weisse with marrionberry, prickly pear, and pomegranate. We tried this with a customer who was curious about it last night (sometimes we have sample cans of things, so it never hurts to ask!) and we were all pretty bowled over by how tasty this beverage was! It's mostly mild and sweet, with just a bit of tartness firming things up. I think for some Berliner-Weisse fans this one might not be soured enough, but for me it was PERFECT. A joy to drink, definitely refreshing on these sweltering September nights.

Highlight of the day: Founders Ultimate Oktoberfest Imperial Bourbon Barrel Aged Märzen. Got into this over the weekend and absolutely LOVED it. Founders has always done exceptional work with their barrel-aged b**rs (Backwoods Bastard is easily a top 10 b**r for me) and this burly Märzen continues that fine tradition of making dangerously smooth, high-octane brews. Oozing with caramel malt flavors, a firm woodiness from the barrels, and just a hint of bourbon depth and smoke, this little number will definitely sneak up on you. Perfect for late night sipping, looking up at the stars, and contemplating the indifferent infinite. This is a limited brew - we only received 2 cases! It's been moving quickly, so act fast!

Two stellar new arrivals from Junkyard Brewing have landed! Caesar Corey IPA is the third b**r in Junkyard's series of IPAs that casually riff on the Pliny the Elder recipe, and it's fabulous. A beautifully clean, airy West Coast IPA that'll def give you Pliny vibes. It's about as close as you'll be able to get to Pliny here in the Midwest. The Pliny recipe is a closely guarded secret, so it's kinda crazy that the wizards at JY have dialed it in to this degree! Coin Operated is a killer new hazy featuring a brand new experimental hop from New Zealand (blandly named NZH109 at the moment), backed up with some Belma! It drinks majorly juicy - big stone fruit notes, succulent peaches - that sort of vibe. I cracked into it yesterday and loved it. Definitely on the sweeter side of the hazy spectrum, but undeniably delicious!

New arrival of the day: Xul Brewing's Paper Crowns Hazy IPA. Xul Brewing is a killer brewery from Tennessee making superb hazy IPAs. Earlier this year they did a collab with BlackStack, and now they're starting to send a small amount of b**r our way here in MN! Paper Crowns is an absolutely gorgeous hazy, hopped with Citra and Citra Cryo, clocking in at 6.5% ABV. It's candy in a glass. It's also HYPER limited - we only received ONE case. If you're interested in this, get here today, as it will not last the night!

Awesome new arrival of the day: Insight's Reign In Blood Red Ale! This is an OFFICIAL collaboration with Slayer in honor of their upcoming appearance at Mystic Lake Ampitheatre on September 4th, celebrating the 40 year anniversary of the absolutely ESSENTIAL album "Reign In Blood!"! Slayer has only done one other US b**r collab (with Mortalis Brewing) so this is a big deal! VERY limited - we only received 2 cases. As a Slayer fanatic myself (I've been listening to them since I was 12 years old and still love them) I was overjoyed to see this pop up. ALSO - it's a red ale! We rarely see any of them anymore. I doubt this will last very long! Kudos to our friends at Insight for making this happen. Hella cool.

Look what just walked in the door to kick your Tuesday up a few notches! VERY limited drop of goodies from Little Thistle: The 8th Anniversary StrataGalactica Hazy DIPA, their superb Graburschnitzel Oktoberfest, a new brew of Jungle Bird West Coast IPA, and a small re-up of The Doug L***r and The Wetlands Session Hazy! We only received 2 cases of each of these brews, and they will certainly disappear lightning quick! If you're interested in any of them get here ASAP! Honestly, probably tonight...
