💥 New Guest Ale | Lyme Gold 💥

Lyme Gold is an easy drinking crisp golden ale.

A subtle blend of Maris Otter & Wheat malt with Cascade and Citra hops deliver a fresh, citrusy aroma and sweet initial taste, followed by a light bitter finish.

Lyme Gold takes its name from the delicate golden pyrite ammonites commonly found on the beaches of The Jurassic Coast. SIBA South West Gold Award Winner 2024 – Cask Session Pale Ale

May and June are flat out in production at the brewery as we see a huge uplift in seasonal sales which see our winter stock levels start to fall dramatically.

At full speed Mike is brewing around 10,000 litres a month which we rack into keg, cask, bottle and can.

It’s a huge logistical challenge to manage stock across all our beer ranges, and so far this year we’ve only had very small gaps of many a few days to a week where something is available

This was a couple weeks back where a fresh batch of Golden Cap was racked into keg and bottle

We’re just days away from our Open Day, and you’re warmly invited to visit our workshop on Monmouth Beach, Lyme Regis.

Come meet the students currently building five boats set to launch this June, chat with our tutors, and explore beautifully crafted boats and furniture made by our talented graduates.

There’ll be children's activities, delicious food and drinks, and a raffle with great prizes!

Our epic staff have come together to form a Run & Beer club - the group meet every Tuesday night at 7pm at The Tap Room and head off around our beautiful town for a jog before looping back to the tap for a well earned drink!

The group is open to anyone in their 20’s and 30’s looking for a chance to network with other people of the same age in Lyme (as it’s a minority age group locally.)

Feel free to come down and join the club. And well done to Chloe who has created the group. It’s a brilliant idea! 👏🏼 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃 🍻 🌊

At Big Dig we are always doing 'research'. Yesterday we popped into Lyme Regis Brewery and sampled a couple of the great range of beers on offer. It's in a great location right beside the restored mill. Definitely worth a visit.

We’ve had a wonderful day out who invited us along to their Loyaltree event to learn about their cider making. We’ve got the beer sorted, but when it comes to cider we’ve hand picked them to provide their exceptional cider to our drinkers in the tap room. 🍏 🍎

Following the success of Lyme Gold at the South West Independent Beer Awards, we’re thrilled to have been awarded the Silver Medal at the national beer awards finals held at BeerX in Liverpool - in the cask session pale ale category.

The whole team here is extremely proud of Mike - well done buddy!

Our Nitro Stout is looking and tasting great, so we will be serving it from 5pm on Friday at the tap room direct from the fermentation tank - pop down and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a pint of our take on the classic Irish nitro stout.
