Fuel price update...

We thought it would be helpful to explain why our fuel prices haven't increased as much as predicted in our post last week.

As we still had a good quantity of fuel from a previous delivery, at a lower cost price, we have been able to blend the costs to enable a relatively modest increase on Sunday of 5 pence per litre (ppl) on the diesel selling price, making us 149.9 ppl.

However, this won't last for long as we sell out of the lower cost fuel. On Tuesday, the pole price for diesel at Prospect in Axminster was 161.9 ppl and at Kilmington it is now 157.9 ppl. By the end of this week, we will be close to these prices, and next week doesn't currently look any better.

Unleaded went up as well, but the cost price, fortunately, hasn't increased as much as diesel.

Running low on heating oil?

From Friday we will start stocking heating oil in 20 litre containers. Its not cheap at £55 a box but might work if you're about to run out.

Our next delivery will see our diesel buying price increase by 16 pence per litre and unleaded by 5 pence per litre.

Dear Customers,

Because of the recent rise in fuel costs, we will inevitably need to make a price adjustment next week.

The current estimate for our diesel buying price is an increase of 16 pence per litre. However, that has been going up each day due to the current global circumstances.

We will try to keep any increase as low as possible, but suggest customers fill up this week before our next delivery on Sunday morning.

We have had to close due to the power cut in Uplyme today. According to Western Power, we are unlikely to be open until after 3 pm.

Update at 16:00 - power not predicted to be restored until 20:00.

******Summer Hours from Today******

From today, for the next 6 weeks, we look forward to welcoming customers to the shop for an extra hour each day 😀.

We'll be opening at the same time but closing one hour later, at 8pm Monday to Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.

Post Office hours remain unchanged.
