Chiusa Grande’s 60 hectares of vines are set among the rolling hills of Abruzzo, Italy, surrounded by the Gran Sasso d’Italia and Majella Mountain. At Chiusa Grande traditional values and ethics are more important than profit. The organisation is committed to transparency with respect both for nature and for our customers. The organic farm was founded in 1991 by the agronomist Franco D’Eusanio, who is now known as “Vinosofo” and “bio-innovator”, acknowledging his full embrace of the principles of organic wine production.

Chef Peter Catarino has been a fixture of Toronto’s Italian dining scene for nearly 30 years. He co-owned the beloved Spuntini on Avenue Road before opening EVOO Ristorante, where he built a loyal following with his warm hospitality and classic Italian-Mediterranean cooking. He named YNot Italian! after his father Tony (spell it backwards.) Now Chef Peter is bringing those same beloved dishes and that same spirit to 226 Christie St., and we couldn’t be more excited to have him.
