It’s always a pleasure connecting with Salvatore “Turi” Marino in Pachino, Sicily, our families’ homeland and a region celebrated for its world-famous tomatoes. Coming from generations of winemakers, has been producing wines under his own label since 2017, focusing on organic farming, native Sicilian grapes, and low-intervention winemaking that truly reflects the character of southeastern Sicily. His wines are honest, soulful, and deeply rooted in family, tradition, and respect for the land — a beautiful expression of Sicily’s rich food and wine culture. 🍷🇮🇹🍅

makes wine the hard way and somehow that feels exactly right. Based in Sopron on the Hungarian Austrian border he works out of two very humble cellars one under his family home and another in a historic building that feels more like a time capsule than a winery.

🍇His vineyards are tiny scattered windblown parcels on volcanic soils above Neusiedlersee farmed organically and entirely by hand with copper sulphur nettle tea and a lot of patience. No polish no shortcuts just a few tanks an old basket press some barrels and a winemaker who also works shifts at a gas station to keep everything going

🌋We absolutely adore these volcanic wines and it’s always a pleasure to revisit them and be reminded why.

This week we’re in Ottawa and Toronto with

We first met Andi in London six years ago, where he showed up with wine bottles held together with duct tape. It wasn’t a gimmick—just a reflection of where he was at the time, focused on the wine above all else.

We were immediately drawn in.

Not long after, he had transitioned to his own label and became the first wine producer we worked with at . We later realized we were also his first export invoice, which makes this all feel pretty full circle.

Today, the wines are as compelling as ever and the energy behind them hasn’t changed.

While most of the week is dedicated to licensee tastings, there are still a few tickets available for Education Hour held Friday, March 27 at 7:00pm. It’ll be an intimate and informative session.

🇫🇷 Introducing .dirringer , a rising winemaker from Alsace crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines that balance precision, texture, and freshness. Working from the region’s mosaic of limestone, granite, and marl soils, Léo focuses on native grapes such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris, using gentle skin contact and minimal intervention. His debut release in Ontario captures the new face of Alsace, vibrant and aromatic with pure energy and a modern, natural touch.

We are delighted to introduce wines to Ontario! Founded in 2016 by Maya Sallée and Nicolas Fernandez in Cahors, Southwest France, this small 7-hectare estate crafts deeply expressive, organically farmed wines rooted in the rugged limestone plateaux of the Causses. Their reds—anchored in Malbec but often complemented by Merlot and other varieties—are vinified with minimal intervention, using ambient yeasts, gentle extraction, and aging on lees in concrete, stainless steel, and seasoned barrels. In addition, they offer a distinctive white blend, Resurgences, made from a field blend of indigenous grapes planted on shallow clay-limestone soils. These wines speak of a renewed Cahors, emphasizing freshness, terroir, and balance—and we can’t wait for wine lovers in Ontario to discover their bold yet elegant voice.
