As we roll into the warmer months, we are excited to announce a new offering on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings! Each week, we will be serving a suuuuper delicious selection of cheeses from Maker & Monger alongside a thoughtful list of w**es by the glass. As always, you can also come by to grab a bottle to takeaway and enjoy at the park or at home.

Our full food menu will continue to be available Thursday-Monday.

PUBLIC WELCOMES AARON TURNER

Please join us for lunch on Sunday the 13th of September 2026 as Aaaron Turner joins us in the kitchen at Public.

One of the most celebrated Australian chefs of his generation, Aaron Turner has, over two decades, played a key role in shaping how we eat in drink in Victoria.

From his iconic, trail blazing fine diner Igni, Drysdale's much loved Loam and other highlights like Songbird, Tacos y Licor and The Hot Chicken project, Aaron's list of industry defining achievments are recognised Australia wide.

On Sunday the 13/9, Aaron will be cooking a 4 course set menu at Public showcasing dishes from his incredibly exciting new project The Snake Pit.

This will be an amazing opportunity to taste food from one of the great culinary minds of Australia and the menu will be simply exquisite with w**e.

Lunch will be $95 for food and bookings are available from 1pm.

A slightly tweaked classic, our Penicillin is made with a base of white rum, lemon juice and a beautifully spiced ginger caramel made by our very own Hiroshi Feliciano Okuda.

We are thrilled to announce that Jett Alexander will be joining the team at Public for a very exciting evening on Monday, July 13th!

Jett is the head chef at Osteria Ilaria, one of our favourite Italian restaurants in Melbourne’s C*D. Previously, Jett has held key positions at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in Southbank as well as Etta in Brunswick East.

Jett will present a set menu for $95 per person, with five courses inspired by his Italian roots and his cooking at Ilaria. He’ll be joined on the night by our own Jake Mayhew and the rest of the team at Public, who will be pulling out some special weather- and food-appropriate bottles for the occasion.

This promises to be an excellent night of thoughtful winter cooking, delicious w**e and very good company. Bookings are available now on our website!
