MEET THE STAFF: Jake

You usually won’t find Jake behind the bar or in front of the camera. He’s the one making sure tables are cleared, glasses are collected, and the rest of us aren’t tripping over ourselves on a busy Friday night.

As the son of owners Brian and Karen, he technically had an “in”—but trust us, he still has to do the work.

Today we’re celebrating a big milestone: Jake graduated from Hampton Roads Academy and will be heading to Randolph College this fall, where he’ll be playing lacrosse while continuing his studies.

If you’re in on a Friday night, give him a congratulations (and maybe stack your plates nicely for him).

The wine is poured, the crew is ready, and tonight’s specials are doing exactly what they’re supposed to do.

Meet the Staff: The Family Business Strikes Again | ✨ EMMA

Before anyone asks — yes, Emma is Brian and Karen’s daughter.
And yes, she totally applied like everyone else. Don’t worry about it. 🙂 🫶🏻

Fresh off graduating from Elon University with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance, Emma somehow entered adulthood already more responsible than the rest of us combined.

🍷 Favorite pour: The Fableist 373 Cabernet Sauvignon — bold, reliable. ( #18 😉)
🍴 Favorite menu item: Pig & Fig — which honestly tells us she can be trusted.
📍 Favorite local spot: Cook’s Burger Bar — where she used to work before joining the family business through a completely unbiased hiring process
🥤 College drink of choice: Nutrl seltzers

You can meet Emma tonight while she’s working our Lange Oregon wine tasting 🍇

Expect some incredible Oregon wines, cool-climate favorites, and Emma answering “wait… are you Brian and Karen’s daughter?” at least 14 times before the night is over.
