Our first Irish wh***ey. Blackadder put an Irish single malt in a Jamaican rum cask.

A Drop of the Irish: cask strength at 57.5%, no added colour, no chill filtration, cask ref BA DROP 2025-01, bottled 2025, 199 bottles. Blackadder marked thirty years with a cask they had never bottled before, and we took it. $145.

And from the Statement series, a Clynelish distilled 26 September 1989 and bottled April 2026 from hogshead 6089, 36 years old, 41.2%, Raw Cask, 133 bottles. $750.

A mile from Dailuaine. There is a stone bridge over a burn near the distillery that gets photographed on every trip, and last summer the drone went up for the first time. Dailuaine is one of the casks we bottle.

Finn's last bottling run of 2026. Three casks he called absolute crackers.

Balblair 12, PX sherry finish, 54.3%, cask 1772, 144 bottles. Finn Thomson's first ever Balblair. $125.
Caol Ila 15, Passito di Caluso w**e cask finish, 58.3%, cask 78394, 150 bottles. Italian dessert w**e meets Islay smoke. $160.
Caol Ila 12, Lagrima white Port finish, 54.5%, cask 312508, 181 bottles. "A beautiful combination of smoke and white chocolate," in Finn's words. $135.

The strongman has a sweet tooth.

Bunnahabhain 18, distilled 2008, eighteen years in a fresh Oloroso sherry butt, 59.6%. North Star's own notes: sherry-soaked figs, roasted chestnuts, date pudding, salted butter fudge. Somewhere backstage, a chain snaps. $175.

And a Secret Speyside 10, first fill sherry hogshead, 64.7%, from a distillery that does not allow its name on independent bottlings. Everyone knows what M means. $100.

New to the lab: Fib Wh**ky. Not an acronym. A kingdom.

Fib was the Pictish kingdom that became Fife, and it is the name on the label. Small batches, odd casks, honest labels. Three casks make the first US release:

Amrut 6 Year, ex-rye barrel, full term, 62.4%. 78 bottles, $135.
Amrut 6 Year, ruby Port barrique finish, 59.1%. 75 bottles, $135.
Mackmyra 8 Year, green tea seasoned cask then Amontillado, 45.4%. 144 bottles, $100.
