Meet the Winemaker: Ntsiki Biyela of Aslina Wines
Stellenbosch, South Africa

We are honored to host Ntsiki Biyela, the owner and winemaker behind Aslina Wines. Ntsiki is a pioneer—the first Black female winemaker in South Africa—and one of the most inspiring figures in the world of wine.

Raised in Zululand, Ntsiki was awarded a scholarship to study winemaking at Stellenbosch University, where she earned her BSc in Agriculture in 2003. After 13 years as the winemaker at Stellekaya, she launched Aslina Wines in 2016, named in tribute to her grandmother. Her accolades include being named South Africa Woman Winemaker of the Year by Forbes and one of Fortune’s Top 10 Most Innovative Women in Food & Drink.

Her passion, talent, and trailblazing leadership have earned her global recognition—and now, you’ll have the chance to meet her and taste her wines.
