Experience the timeless quality and taste of SND Bourbon as you make your way through this (and every day)!

Exclusively in our Vermont tasting rooms, SND’s Single Barrel Bourbon tasting allows you to discover how time and the characteristics of the oak used in each unique barrel affect the flavor profile of bourbon.

The selection of single barrel batches in stores is always rotating as production staff find new and exciting options in the barrel racks and make them available for sampling.

Current batches include bourbons aged from two to seven years. Come in for a Single Barrel tasting to discover the differences between them and select the one your palate savors most.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced whiskey drinker or totally new to the scene. Bourbon enthusiasts will delight in describing the nuance of flavor they detect, and we offer tasting notes for each batch to help guide bourbon “newbies” as they train their senses to explore the layers of taste present in bourbon.

After SO..MUCH..RAIN, we’re finally seeing the sun here in Vermont. That golden glow and warmer temps have us thinking about grilling. It’s easy to adapt one of our favorite recipes to use on the grill!

Bourbon Maple Glazed Salmon

2 Salmon filets, 4-5oz each
Salt & pepper
1 Tbsp oil
1.5 Tbsp SND Rum Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp SND Straight Bourbon
1/2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp fresh dill
Lemon slices for garnish

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (~400°F). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking. Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels. Season both sides with sea salt and pepper.

Prepare the glaze by whisking together maple syrup, bourbon, mustard, lemon juice, and dill. Set aside.

Grill the salmon: Place the salmon skin side up on the grill grates. Close the lid and sear for 2 minutes. Carefully flip the salmon and grill for another 2–3 minutes with the lid closed.

Apply glaze: Brush the bourbon-maple glaze generously over the top of the salmon. Close the lid and grill for an additional 4–6 minutes, basting once or twice more, until the salmon just begins to flake with a fork. Be careful not to overcook.

(Tip: If you're worried about the glaze burning or the salmon sticking, grill the salmon on a foil sheet or in a lightly oiled fish basket.)

Serve: Transfer the salmon to a serving platter. Drizzle with any remaining glaze or juices from the foil/fish basket. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately.
