WE ARE HIRING.

Full Time Sales Person at Altadena Beverage

We are looking for a full time (40hrs, 5 days a week) hourly employee at Altadena Beverage and Market. You must have at least 5 years of restaurant or bar experience (FOH, BOH, or Bartender). Hospitality and great customer service are an essential part of this position.

The work requires a good attitude, a pleasant disposition, and overall helpfulness. A strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer are necessary, and a familiarity with small producers and natural wine is encouraged.

A good candidate should be comfortable with sales, remembering customers and their taste, and developing relationships. Additional requirements for the position include: strong attention to detail; working both autonomously and with others; long periods of standing, bending, and lifting; and taking initiative in cleaning, stocking, and organization.
Must have flexible availability for morning, evening, and weekend shifts. PTO, 401k, and Health Insurance offered.

It has been an incredibly difficult week for our country. We are horrified by the violence our immigrant neighbors and the community of Minneapolis has had to endure. We do not know what really to say, other than they are so brave and their collective action and strength gives us hope. Here in Altadena we know the strength of community following the Eaton fire tragedy. Our neighbors and loved ones are the most important things we have.

We encourage everyone to use their voice as they are able, whether through protest, advocacy, or donation. We will remain open this week to support our staff, vendors, and community. We stand in solidarity with those in protest all around the country and 10% of all sales from Friday through Sunday will be given to Pow Wow Grounds Coffee in Minneapolis who are distributing aid to families in need.

If you are participating in the national strike and do not wish to shop Friday we totally get it. If you are around, thank you for continuing to support our small business.
