On December 4th in Milford, Connecticut…the “Lamplight Stroll” takes place as one the state’s most magical Christmas experiences! This beloved New England holiday tradition returns for its 24th year, filling historic downtown Milford with Christmas lights, festive decorations, and holiday cheer. One of the biggest attractions is the beautiful Broad Street Green, where several large Christmas trees shine with colorful lights, while rows of trees wrapped in thousands of twinkling lights create a wonderful setting for an evening stroll. The holiday lights remain on display beyond this special night, giving visitors more chances to enjoy downtown Milford throughout the Christmas season. From 5 PM to 9 PM, more than 40 vendors will fill the green with handmade gifts, crafts, and holiday goodies. Visitors can enjoy old-fashioned horse-drawn carriage rides around the decorated green, listen to roaming Christmas carolers singing familiar holiday songs, and visit Santa Claus. Downtown shops and restaurants add to the experience, with opportunities for Christmas shopping, hot cocoa, and seasonal treats. With its glowing Christmas trees, historic buildings, and beautifully decorated green, Milford offers a wonderful old-fashioned New England Christmas setting!
