Back by popular demand! 🍻

The people have spoken and we’re excited for the greatly anticipated return of the Space Rock Gluten Reduced IPA from Short’s Brewing. Short’s Brewing Company created Space Rock as a hop-forward American style Pale Ale that would appeal to both the IPA customer as well as those searching for a lower-gluten beer option. Using a proprietary hop selection combined with an enzyme called Clarex Short’s has created a tasty, mildly malty ale featuring citrus, floral and grassy bitterness notes on the finish. The result:

Available today in 6 Pack x 12 oz Can

After market demand drove a large portion of sales to more hazy citrus forward IPA’s, Space Rock found itself on the wrong side of customer demand and cost cutting measures taken at the Brewery. And sadly the beer was discontinued.

CUE: The internet. If we’ve learned anything about the internet here at Village Wine Shop it’s that: A) Don’t mess with cats 🐈 ….and B) Don’t take away a fan favorite gluten reduce Pale Ale!🍺 And when the very teach savvy fans heard what Short’s had done, the backlash was immediate and forceful.

CUE: Redemption. Short’s heard the collective voices of their fans and alas, this story ends in a fairy tell happy ending! As of today, 4/30/26, Space Rock Pale Ale is available now at Village Wine Shop in Grosse Pointe Park, MI.
