We don't believe in them. Instead, we taste every wine we carry and we rely on our customers' opinions. As a family-owned store, we make it a point to support small, family-owned wineries. We carry small production wines that are true expressions of their terroir. Our wines change constantly. You'll always find something new and unique!

CABERNET SAUVIGNON AND MERLOT
FROM WENTE VINEYARDS IN LIVERMORE CALIFORNIA!

IT’S ONE OF OUR FAVORITE CALIFORNIA WINEMAKERS,
IT’S FAMILY OWNED SINCE IT BEGAN IN 1883
AND CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE!

These wines taste great and are an incredible value for California wines. They are made very cleanly as opposed to some other California wines that are manufactured to taste a certain way with chemicals and sugars.
These are their entry level Cab and Merlot retailing at $18 with 92 points. They make wines at every price point including the $100+ range which are absolutely amazing. It’s also a great estate to visit with gorgeous views, a beautiful tasting room, tours and a stellar golf course!!

HAPPY FEBRUARY!!
DRY JANUARY IS BEHIND US AND IT’S TIME TO TASTE SOME WINES THAT ARE PERFECT FOR THIS SEASON!
All day today we are tasting two great Bordeaux wines from the stellar vintage of 2016!
We will be tasting Chateau Grand Corbin (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru) which we have always loved and offered regularly in out store as well as Chateau De Francs “Les Cerisiers” which we just discovered and added to our Bordeaux selection yesterday!
It’s also a great price!

We are very happy to add this fantastic grower champagne to our selection!!! 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, 5g/L dosage Extra Brut. All Premier Cru Vineyards! Very, very good champagne at a great price!

About Méa:
Mea is a rising star in the region—they boast generations of prime land-holdings across prime Premier and Grand Cru sites, and, since Sophie Milesi took over her family winery in 2014, an exceptionally talented winemaker as well. Their L’Assemblage Extra Brut is a calling-card for the estate, showing off Sophie’s persistence and dedication. It’s made only from Premier and Grand Cru grapes, and aged for a full ten months in tank before the initial bottling—longer than is typical for the region. After nearly three years in tirage, it’s then given a nice low dosage after disgorgement to preserve its crisp vibrancy.

Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the “King of Reds” because it combines tradition and innovation in winemaking. The grapes originated in the Bordeaux region of France in the 17th century as a hybrid of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes’ thick skin gives them a high tannin content, which gives the wine structure and a distinctive mouthfeel that mellows with aging. Cabernet Sauvignon wines are known for their deep color, bold tannins, aging potential, elegant structure, and balanced tannins.
