Join us for an exclusive Asaka Wh**ky Tasting Event featuring the Fine Blended, 'Precious' Blended, Pure Malt Wh**ky, & Asaka Single Cask First Fill Bourbon exclusive for Mizunara, and some exceptional limited edition releases. The final list of whiskies available is subject to change and at the sole discretion of the organizers.

Entrance: FREE. Please note that this is NOT a sitdown/masterclass style event but rather a walkaround tasting at the Venue.

TASTING FEE: Some of the bottlings will be available for a complimentary tasting of 10 ml per person. The Limited Releases will be available for tasting on a paid basis (ranging from SGD 4 - 8 per 10 ml tasting portion). Wh**ky highballs and Canapes will be available for purchase at the tasting as well.

Bottle Sales: All Bottles will be available for purchase on the day. Any single purchase of SGD 200 will be eligible for a complimentary handmade Amber Wh**ky Tasting glass valued at SGD 30. This offer is exclusive only for this Tasting Event.

Sasanokawa Shuzo Co, the oldest Sake brewer in the Tohoku region of Japan, obtained its license to produce wh**ky in 1946, after World War II. Their own distillation has also gone through turbulent times in sync with the Japanese wh**ky market's boom and bust cycles with bulk spirit imports replacing their own production through these times. They are also the distillery, which famously gave warehouse/storage space to Ichiro Akuto san for his Hanyu casks when they were about to be discarded by the new owners of Toa Shuzo.

This exclusive bottling commemorates both Mizunara's 10th Anniversary and a two-decade friendship between Mr. Barry Eric Dick and Mizunara's founder (at US Investment bank Merrill Lynch), rooted in their shared appreciation for exceptional wh**ky. Barry's passion for Thor comics, sparked at the age of 10, and his later appreciation for fine wh**ky converge in this exceptional single cask bottling, titled very aptly; "Wh**ky & Friends: The Best Pairing of All"
On the nose, expect ripe pineapple and greengage with baked pastry notes. The palate delivers full body and silky texture with figs in syrup, candied fruits, and malt, while the finish gracefully unfolds with liquorice, shortbread, and citrus. Wakashio One Day Series "A Day To Jump" Sweet Potato and Barley Japanese Shochu

Ingredients: Imo (Sweet Potato Shochu), Mugi (Barley Shochu), Yuzu (Skin and juice)

Age: NAS

ABV: 27%

Size: 720 ml / 1800 ml

This shochu was inspired by the Kagoshima dialect phrase "Nakokai tobokai, naku yoka hittobe," which means "When times are tough, don't think too much about it, just take action." This is a drink that will get your spirits jumping with sweet potato shochu and barley shochu, flavored with yuzu peel and juice.

A blend of imo shochu aged in oak barrels and mugi shochu aged in sherry casks, resulting in a shochu with the sweet aroma of vanilla and roasted notes of nuts, perfect for mixing with soda water.
