About Coal Pit
Set on the picturesque, north facing slopes of the Gibbston Valley, Coal Pit is a gem. Having purchased the existing 1994-planted vineyard, Rosie Dunphy made the decision to establish her own estate, rather selling fruit to other producers. With her team, she has not done this by halves, building the w**ery on site in 2007, and recently attaining full organic certification for the 7 hectares of vineyards. W**emaking is in the hands of the talented Anika Willner, who has built her career around her passion for Pinot Noir.

Local's Night is our excuse to get everyone around the table. Every couple of months (or thereabouts) we invite a producer we love to join us at Mr Zhous for an evening of shared dishes, good conversation and very good bottles.

This time we're joined by Peter Lorimer from Deep Down, making organic w**es in Marlborough alongside Clive Dougall.
