Sparkling red hasn’t just suddenly beamed down onto the planet, despite what social media influencers would have you believe.

One of our favourites is the McGuigan Black Label Sparkling Shiraz.
Delightful dark berry fruit flavours of blackcurrant and plum highlight this sparkling red, and a touch of spicy oak and chocolate adds extra depth.

It’s quite surprising to see the influencer experts who say it’s amazing but haven’t tried it.

We’ve certainly tried our Chocolate Box Sparkling Shiraz
With its dark berries on the nose, this medium dry sparkling red shows an extraordinary concentration of blackcurrant, blueberry and strawberry characters while retaining great precision of fruit.

Wine myth or fact?

“Red wine should always be served at room temperature.”

Not quite either, really.

Most red wines actually taste best when slightly cooler than typical room temperature, usually around 12–16°C. Serving red wine too warm can make the alcohol more noticeable and hide some of the flavours.
