Today has been such a special day visiting our friends and supplier Château de Thésée. I can't thank Pierre and Philippe enough for their hospitality! I wasn't expecting a 4 course meal, but it was delicious! 🎍🐟🍲🥮🧀

This vineyard encompasses why are got into importing. A family owned vineyard made with passion. Honestly don't think Ive ever tasted a sauvignon so smooth. It makes such a difference when you can come and visit.
Something tells me we have found something truly special!

The reason we started this business happened 3 years ago....
I got married to my partner of 17 years in Italy. One of the nicest places Ive ever been Podere Cunina Farmhouse and the beautiful town of Comune di Buonconvento.

I found a local vineyard Campriano Estate and chose this wine as my wedding wine as the vines overlooked the town (and it was everything I wanted my wine to be)....

But there was a problem, thos wine wasn't all in the UK, and I wanted the same wine at my UK party. I asked a local importer who worked solely with Italy, who dismissed my request.

Ranuccio Neri who is the passion behind Campriano helped me with a contact he had in the UK to make it happen.

Then I thought....what if...why not, I could do be an importer.

So there sparked the reason to apply for all the licenses and thus Bacchus-UK was born.

Today we are celebrating 3 years, in the fabulous spot in the Loire Valley....but we still brought our wedding wine to celebrate...

I don't often post anything personal on this page, as it's all about the wine...but (still being all about the wine, of course)

3 years ago today, the idea of Bacchus-UK was officially born. I got married to my soul mate having been together 17 years. Of course, it wasn't going to be a normal wedding, and wine was very important....so we chose a little town in Tuscany Comune di Buonconvento and my absolute happy place Podere Cunina Farmhouse.
I had selected the wedding wine to be a vineyard overlooking the town Campriano Estate (it helped that it was not only delicious but also an independent vineyard)....
But....being high maintenance and all, I wanted the same wine at my UK party, I asked a local importer who dismissed me. So Ranuccio Neri helped me with a UK contact to get the wine to the into the UK.

So here I was, with wine imported into the UK....so I thought, why not, what's the worst that can happen. Then started the journey to obtain all the licenses. Bacchus-UK was born.

So here we are, 3 years on, celebrating in the Loire, with our wedding wine.
