Wine Of The Week | 2022 Ronco del Gelso Traminer Aromatico

Ronco del Gelso’s Traminer from Cormòns in Collio is a straw-yellow wine with notes of tropical fruit, rose, clove, and nutmeg. Bold and persistent, it’s made from briefly withered, whole-pressed grapes. Grown on poor, stony soils near the Adriatic, the low-yielding, densely planted vineyards are carefully managed to express the unique character of the terroir.

Pairing Suggestions: The Traminer of the Ronco del Gelso winery guarantees an excellent combination with particularly spicy dishes, from white meats and sushi of oriental cuisine, to fish and crustaceans.

Since the day we opened our doors in 2021, Nando has been a cornerstone of The Orchard Wine Shop. With over 30 years of experience in the wine and hospitality industry, he brings deep passion, expertise, and charm to everything he does.

After decades spent supplying top restaurants with wines, Nando now shares his knowledge directly with our customers - something he considers the best part of the job. You’ll find him in the shop throughout the week, always ready with a recommendation, a story, or the perfect bottle.

His favourite part of being here? “The exquisite collection of wines and the wonderful people who walk through our door.”
