Join Carl at the Shop as José from Artesanal & Ancestral brings a rare collection of traditional agave spirits to Europe for the very first time. Rooted in the preservation of traditional technemes and championing the cultural identity of mezcal, the project exclusively supports independent, female micro-producers who distill fewer than 1,500 liters per year. Each micro-batch represents the Maestra’s craft and the distinct gustemes of their small agricultural communities.
José Antonio Ponce – Founder
José leads the brand’s mission to connect female micro-producers with global enthusiasts. His work focuses on educating on ethical sourcing, biocultural methods, and the value these traditional independent distillers bring to agave spirits.
At least 6 samples for 50kr and there are rumours that José is bringing more expressions to try. First come, first serve.

This month: Hampden Estate Great House Distillery Edition 2024 🇯🇲🏠

To celebrate adding the new Hampden “Fresh” unaged rum to our shelves, we pulled a bottle of Great House 2024 out of our cellar. Originally created as a distillery-exclusive release in Trelawny, the Great House series is an annual benchmark for high-ester Jamaican rum.

Each year, Master Distiller Vivian Wisdom crafts a unique recipe by blending different estate marks. The 2024 release spans Hampden’s ester spectrum, combining LFCH (citrus and fresh fruit), HGML (spiced tropical fruit), and the iconic DOK (extreme high-ester funk).

• Origin: Hampden Estate, Trelawny, Jamaica 🌴
• Distillation: 100% Copper Double-Retort Pot Still
• Blend: LFCH (70%), HGML (15%), DOK (15%) Marks
• Maturation: 3 to 6 Years Tropical Aging (ex-bourbon casks)

Hampden has been making rum the exact same way in Trelawny since 1753—wild yeast, cedar vats, cane juice vinegar, dunder, muck, and 100% copper pot stills 🪵🔥

This edition blends two distinct estate marks (OWH & LROK), aged 3 to 6 years in tropical Jamaica, and bottled at a punchy 57% ABV 🌴 Blend of overripe tropical fruit, heavy dunder funk, olive brine, and dark cacao 🍌🍫

Available tomorrow, Friday at 12:00 PM (noon). Pours served strictly at cost price (30,-) until the bottle is empty ⏳

Erwan and Max Scott are joining us this Friday, September 4th, for our next Shoppen Social Club. Erwan recently joined the team at Succulent Spirits & Co as Marketing Development Manager, and in collaboration with Juuls Engros A/S and Max, they will present the iconic Tequila Cascahuin Tequila portfolio. Erwan will also share the story behind Succulent Spirits.

Cascahuin has been crafting authentic, traditional tequila in El Arenal, in the Valleys region of Jalisco, since 1904. Founded by Salvador Rosales Briseño, the distillery remains family owned through four generations and stands as a beacon of artisanal production, utilizing brick ovens, tahonas, open-air fermentation, and copper pot stills.

We will have samples flowing, delicious cocktails pouring, and special offers on all featured products throughout the event. Drop by and join the conversation.
