Vin går nok længere tilbage end det vi hidtil har været i stand til at spore os frem til. Biokemiske analyser af arkeologiske fund har dateret krukker og druekerner af Vitis vinifera sylvestris tilbage til det tidlige 6. årtusinde. I løbet af disse 8.000 år, er der blevet dyrket mere end 1200 forskellige sorter. Den stadigt stigende interesse og efterspørgsel på vin, har desværre også haft den kon

sekvens at krydsninger af sorter med størst ydeevne i fokus; og den globale opvarmning presser bønderne til at bruge mere hårdføre sorter. Bekymringen om at verden er ved at snævre antal af sorter ned til en lille flok af "internationale druer", har vi tænkt os at gøre noget ved. Vintro er en nysgerrig vinbutik som ønsker at styrke og sætte fokus på denne glemte biodiversitet. Derfor vil der hver uge, blive præsenteret en ny drue her på siden. Hey oh ! Here is some nice pictures of our visit of & .
We had the occasion to visit again the vines, talk about the development of the winery, and to taste what just landed in Copenhagen. Manseng 2023, Marcel 2023, Serres-Seques 2022, Haure 2021 and a new wine in the list, Campsou Benguere 2022. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
As usual we are keeping the wines for some months and will release it when we feel it is time to shine.
Looking forward to tell more about the trip and give a taste of the wines.

The wines from Lauretta are showing beautiful at the moment!
Located at the most southern point of Sicily close to San Lorenzo and Marzamemi, Paolo’s vines are mainly Nero d’Avola, Grillo and Frappato.
The dry and windy area provide pure freshness in the wines even if the temperature is often above 40 degrees in that part of Sicily. Elegant fresh and spicy, we have a special feeling with Baciata dal sole, his excellent Frappato.
Looking forward to give a taste and some stories about that epic Sicilian picnic under the only tree bringing shadow ☀️☀️☀️

One week to Christmas and we are already unpacking gift? 🎁

Welcome to Vintro to the wines of Benoit Courault !

One of the “go to”/“goat too” when you are a bit lost on a wine card and you want a safe bet 👌

After 5 years as a sommelier, Benoit Courault started to develop interest in making wine, and itis by working for some time at Eric Pfifferling at domaine de L’Anglore he found his philosophy of winemaking. It is in Loire (Faye d’Anjou) that he found some vines and decided to replant some more. Being today above 7 hectares, Benoit is producing Chenin, Chenin, Chenin, Chenin and more Chenin for the white (just wanted to make sure you riding well, CHENIN. And for the reds Poneau d’Aunis, Grolleau and some Cabernet.
The philosophy in the vines is in total respect of the nature and the work is prioritised with his horses when Benoit needs to work the soil. The Schiste soil bring the salinity and the freshness to the wines, the style of the wines is precise, expressive and refreshing.
A must taste, a must drink, a must have, a must gift if you were still hesitant about what wine you need in the next days 🎅

Very special time visiting some weeks ago and tasting new and old projects. A vineyard located in Liguria, at 5km from the sea. From the bottom of Sestri levante church to the hills of Graveglia (south of Genova), Daniele is mainly producing Vermentino, with a unique expression on some this fabulous terroir.
The wines are energetic, salty, elegant with pure expression.

Domaine Lajibe · Jurançon 💥💥💥

After a good 6 months in the stock, we decide to release some of the wines from Jean-Baptiste Semmartin. Domaine Lajibe is one of our unicorn wineries, very fast it became a must taste and must have on the wine scene.

After a first career in the French fencing team, Jean-Baptiste started to work with his passion, wines. During 10 years he learned and worked for other wines makers. In 2015, he found two hills of vines in Jurançon and started the project on his own in 2017 on 2 hectares. Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu are the only grapes Jean-Baptiste is producing. Now owning 8 hectares of land, he is one of the light house on the appellation and put South west wines on the wine map. An absolutely delicious expression of this unique terroir of Jurançon. The wines are vibrant, elegant, deep, precise… We will open three different cuvée on our professional tasting on the 9th of October.

Alert new Gamay at Vintro ! 🍇🍇🍇
Welcome to the wines from at Vintro. We are very happy to be able to provide the wines from Marine and Pierre. Located on Brouilly and Cote de Brouilly, the vines grow on granitic terroir, providing structure and power to the wine with an amazing drinkability.
The wines is still made in the same cellar in Odenas since 1856 and aged in these amazing century old wood foudres.
For the small story, Brouilly (2nd and 6th slides) is the appellation around the hill, and cote de Brouilly (3rd slide ) is the top of the hill. You can see it on the labels where Brouilly is a square, and Cote is a triangle.

The different pictures show the weekend we spent visiting Marine and Pierre, understanding the terroir and work in the vines, tasting the wines in the cellar, and a bit of friends wine together…

The last picture is a small plate, in honour of Chapelle notre dame de Brouilly who were built between 1854 and 1857. This Chapelle where built in honour of Marie to help the wine makers to beat oïdium, a decease who killed a big part of the vineyard at that time. Amen 🤘
