🍷Rabl Verjus Spritz Kamptal, Austria

Kamptal Verjus Spritz is a regional, carbonated alcohol-free aperitif made from Zweigelt verjus (juice from unripe grapes). It is enhanced with herbal syrup from Austria's Waldviertel region, and spring water. Served chilled on its own, it offers a refreshing taste made entirely from regional ingredients.

🔥Yesterday, Jones & Company was absolutely delighted and honoured to host Dean Hewitson of Hewitson Winery for a truly memorable tasting. He flew
all the way from Barossa Valley, Australia to do this tasting with us, and his visit will not soon be forgotten.

🇦🇺 The event was completely sold out, with guests enjoying an exceptional selection of his premium wines from the Barossa Valley. and Adelaide Hills.

🍷 Dean’s storytelling, generosity, and deep knowledge brought each wine to life, while offering insight and character that deeply resonated with the room.

🥰 We are sincerely grateful to Dean for making the journey and sharing both his outstanding wines and his craft. It was a special evening that reflected the quality
of Hewitson Winery and left a lasting impression on all who attended.

👋Hello Wine Lovers!

🍷This week's edition of Wine School Wednesday is about Soave!

🇮🇹 Soave is a white wine from the Veneto region in north-east Italy, typically dry, though it can occasionally be sweet or sparkling. The wider Soave DOC was created in 1968 during a period of rapid expansion and high yields, which led to much production moving from hillside vineyards onto the fertile plains of the Adige River.

🌄 The best wines come from the original Classico hills, defined in 1927, where volcanic soils produce more structured, steely styles. In contrast, wines from the plains are often considered lighter and more neutral due to higher yields and warmer conditions.

🍇Soave must be at least 70% Garganega, with permitted blends including Trebbiano di Soave and other varieties. When carefully managed, Garganega produces wines of real quality, as demonstrated by leading producers in the region.

👋 Happy International Chardonnay Day! 🍷

✨Today we had the honour of welcoming Aneska to our store as we presented her a cheque that will go towards her education fund!

This cheque was humbly donated in memory of our dear friend, colleague and sommelier Rebecca Lechman, aunt to Aneska. In March, Jones & Company pledged to donate $5 of every bottle of Chardonnay sold in the month of March, up to $5000. With our shared goal and teamwork, we achieved this goal! Congrats to YOU! 🥳

♥ This initiative would not be possible without the incredible support of our community. To everyone who chose a bottle of Chardonnay (or a few) in March, THANK YOU for helping us celebrate Rebecca’s memory in such a meaningful way. Your support continues to make a difference year after year, and we are deeply grateful for all of you! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all again. What a delicious reason to enjoy a glass of Chardonnay.
