With a couple of long weekends coming up we are open as normal with the exception of Good Friday and ANZAC day (as of this year retailers are no longer permitted to open after 1pm on ANZAC day to ensure the service of veterans is recognised)

NEW ARRIVAL – You Don’t Know Jacques
Independent bottling from Whisky in Isolation’s Justin, responsible for some of the most unique expressions of amazing Australian distilleries spirit.
I have some limited tasting samples, so let me know if you’re keen to give this a try (I certainly am!)

Distilled by Hobart Whisky, this is their first ever run with virgin French oak – short-filled, toasted and sourced from Bordeaux’s top cooperage, Tonnellerie Sylvain. Finished in 3rd fill Jack Daniels cask for 20 months.

Expect layers.
Nose: Banana bread, charred corn, toffee fudge
Palate: Honey nut cornflakes, vanilla wafers, toasted pecans
Finish: Salted maple peanuts, charred oak, and a hit of jalapeño

500ml | 52.5% ABV | Only 93 bottles made

Now in store, a selection of unique brews from Tasmania’s Two Metre Tall Brewery. Real farmhouse ales and ciders made in small batches, using ingredients grown on their own 600-hectare property in the Derwent Valley, as well as produce sourced directly from other Tasmanian farmers. Their innovative approach includes barrel aging, spontaneous fermentations, and experimenting with fruits.

Another week, another drop of amazing limited beers!
First up, the legends who came in this afternoon and showed off their latest beer All The Nelson Cold IPA. This was a hit with everyone that tried it (myself included!) and has flown out the door.
new drops@include a lovely bright IPA collab with in the UK, an Oat Cream and a West Coast Pilsner.
have a DDH Pale that’s clean crisp and bitter, lovely drop.
And finally, new wares from the wonderful folks from Traralgon we have some lovely low ABV Irish nitro beers — a red ale and a stout — a sour and a Hazy IPA.

Our first whisky event of the year is something special!

Lucas from and I have curated a top-tier selection of Australian whiskies for a blind tasting experience. You’ll sample six incredible drams without knowing what they are—focusing purely on flavour. Once the tasting is complete, we’ll reveal each whisky and dive into their stories, exploring the distilleries and craftsmanship behind them.

Tickets are $75 online (via the tastings section of our site) or $70 in-store to save the booking fee. Numbers are limited, so if you’re keen, get in quick!
