"Rolling Hitch is the latest West Coast IPA and with this one we kept the malt base super light for one reason only: to let the hops absolutely shine. It’s packing heavy notes of big grapefruit, bright citrus, floral vibes, and fresh pine all balanced with a hint of stone fruit brought through by the addition of McKenzie.
With an assertive bitterness and a crisp, dry finish, Rolling Hitch is the one for you if you're chasing a big westie."

The original plan with FIFO was simple, package some in May then let the rest sleep in barrels. But at some point the idea of a toasted coconut version of FIFO entered our minds and the plan for the remaining stout changed.

Meet Coconut FIFO: the same unapologetically thick and fudgy Imperial Stout with a twist, a heap of toasted coconut. The coconut weaves itself naturally into every layer of caramel and cacao of the base FIFO. No lactose. No barrels. Still just an old school imperial stout, but this time with coconut.

"Off the back of this year’s Test Print we had big shoes to fill for our next DIPA. We took a look back through the archives at some of our favourite DIPA’s over the years and cherry picked the parts of each we think made them special. The resulting beer is House Rules.

This hazy DIPA is unashamedly thick and bursting with juicy tropical fruit character. We get distinct notes of mango, lime and mandarin on the nose with it opening to more juicy mango, stonefruit and hint of pineapple as you take your first sips. Mike’s starting to sound like a broken record at this point, but he swears House Rules is up there as one of his favourite DIPA’s to date."

Limited releas ferom Bracket Brewing Collaboration with West Coast Brewing - MKUltra Double West Coast IPA, 9.1%, $20/$62.

"The best collaborations don’t start with a sit-down meeting, they start with brewers talking shop. No marketing briefs, no sales targets (we don’t have sales staff anyway), just a shared goal, making a great beer.

When Mike and Derreck from wcbshizuoka (Shizuoka, Japan) started riffing on this recipe, our mutual mate Locky from oishii.world was essentially third-wheeling the convo, watching in real-time as two brewing styles fused into one seamless recipe.

The result is MKUltra, a nod to one of our joint favorite styles, the West Coast IPA, but with a few modern tweaks. This Double WCIPA is heavily hopped with an intoxicating blend of Mosaic, Southern Cross, and Nelson Sauvin.

It oozes dank cannabis character, bright lemon and pine. Rounded out with a subtle hint of red berry and an assertive, chewy bitterness.

Consider this our own little experiment in sensory manipulation, no mind control required.
One sip and you’ll see why we called it MKUltra?"

Rye Life is here to prove lager has layers. This unfiltered rye lager pours straw with a foamy white head and brings big fresh-bread energy from the first sniff. The palate is full, smooth and gently sweet, with earthy rye character through the middle and a lightly spicy brown-bread finish. It is rustic without being heavy, familiar without being boring, and very well suited to anyone who thinks carbs are a personality trait. Slice, slice baby.

Limited release from Five Barrel Brewing - Acai Acai Captain Sour, 4.1%, $15/$48.

Acai-Acai Captain is a bright, berry-charged sour with a playful tropical streak and plenty of refreshment.

Pouring a hazy pink hue with a fluffy white head, it opens with a big strawberry hit before acai rolls in underneath with darker berry depth. The palate brings subtle strawberry, acai and blueberry together in a sweet-sour wave, while a touch of vanilla smooths the edges without weighing it down. Light-bodied and clean on the finish, this is a berry sour ready to captain the esky.
