In April 2025, David and Ishara Chetty from Doughed Durban traveled to Parma, Italy to compete in the International Pizza Championships (Campionato Mondiale della Pizza) against more than 300 professional teams from over 50 countries. At the championship, the Chettys competed in front of & against some of the world’s finest. 🇮🇹

The couple, who are meticulous about their passion (being people & pizza) surprised even themselves when they were awarded with 9th position (in the world!!). 🌍 🏆

Their award winning craft is carried through from how they make their pizzas into how they host. If you’ve stepped into their restaurant you immediately feel alive & at home. Their humble approach to everything they do instantly makes you love what they do more.

They source local ingredients for toppings while importing authentic mozzarella and Parmigiano from Italy, refusing to cut corners on quality. Their flavour combinations are really exciting and so on the whole we feel really proud to stock these for our customers and be a part of growth .
