Granite in one row, limestone in the next. Alsace does soil like nowhere else, and Domaine Albert Mann has farmed it biodynamically since 1997, years before it had a hashtag.

One of the four w**es dropping today comes from a vineyard called Clos de la Faille. It's a monopole, meaning this exact plot belongs to them and only them. No other w**ery on the planet makes w**e from those rows.

No big announcements.
Just good bottles and curious people.

Most non vintage Ch*****nes aim for consistency.
Jacquesson does the opposite.

In the early 2000s, the house made a radical decision.
They stopped trying to reproduce the same flavor every year and created the “700 series”. Each cuvée number reflects a new harvest. No fixed recipe. No forced uniformity. Just the character of the year. 

Cuvée 747 is built around the 2019 vintage, sourced from some of Ch*****ne’s great villages such as Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize and Oiry. 

The blend leans Pinot in this release due to frost affecting Chardonnay that year, creating a w**e with more structure and phenolic tension. 

The style is unmistakably Jacquesson.

Citrus.
Lemon oil.
White pepper.
Chalky mineral tension and a long saline finish. 

Dosage is extremely low at around 1.5 g/L, giving the w**e its precise and dry profile. 

But the real point is this:

Jacquesson doesn’t make Ch*****ne to match a house style.
They make Ch*****ne to reflect the vineyard and the vintage.

That philosophy, combined with careful vineyard work and limited yields, is why the 700 series has become a benchmark for terroir driven Ch*****ne among sommeliers worldwide.

Some w**emakers follow the map.
Jérôme Bretaudeau prefers wandering off it.

He farms Domaine de Bellevue, just outside Nantes in Muscadet country. Granite soils, ocean air, vines that have seen a few decades go by. A place where everyone expects one thing: Melon de Bourgogne and oysters.

Jérôme had other ideas.

On a small parcel called La Justice, he planted Chardonnay and Savagnin. Not exactly the local recipe. But that’s Bretaudeau. Curious, stubborn, always chasing something a little more alive in the glass.

The w**e that comes from it feels like a quiet rebellion.

Chardonnay brings the flesh.
Savagnin brings the nerve.

You get citrus peel, white flowers, a touch of ripe pear, and that salty, stony tension that keeps pulling you back for another sip. There’s texture, but also this electric freshness that makes the w**e feel wide awake.

It’s not really Muscadet.
Not really Jura either.

Just Bretaudeau doing his thing.

And honestly… those are often the w**es we love the most at Glouglou Wines.
