🥃🇺🇸 LABOR DAY — AN AMERICAN TRADITION 🇺🇸🥃
As we continue celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month, Labor Day feels like the perfect time to recognize the people behind every bottle.
Made in America.
Aged in American oak.
Shared around American tables.
Bourbon doesn’t happen because of one person.
🌽 It starts with farmers growing the corn, rye, wheat and barley.
🪵 It depends on coopers shaping and charring the new American oak barrels.
🔥 It takes distillers turning grain, water and yeast into wh***ey.
🏚️ It takes warehouse crews tending those barrels through years of hot summers and cold winters.
🚚 It takes drivers and distributors moving those bottles across the country.
🏪 And then it arrives at places like Goebel Liquor, where our job becomes helping you find the bottle that’s right for your table, your celebration, or simply a good evening with friends.
For us, being a retailer is more than putting bottles on a shelf.
Since 1978, Goebel Liquor has been part of the Wichita community. We’ve had the privilege of getting to know our customers, hearing your bourbon stories, helping you discover new favorites, and watching bottles leave our store headed for birthdays, holidays, weddings, backyard gatherings and quiet pours shared between friends.
That’s the part of the bourbon story we get to be a part of every day.
We may not grow the corn, build the barrels or run the stills—but we get to make the final connection between all that hard work and you.
And that matters to us.
🥃 Because eventually, every great bottle is meant to be opened.
It’s American agriculture.
It’s American craftsmanship.
It’s American jobs.
It’s local businesses.
And most importantly, it’s people.
So this Labor Day, we raise a glass to everyone whose work makes bourbon possible—from the farm and the cooperage to the distillery, the warehouse, the delivery truck, our shelves at Goebel Liquor, and finally your glass.
GREAT BOURBON. GOOD PEOPLE. LASTING MEMORIES.
Build memories, not just collections.
