NEW RIFF BOURBON 🥃
BOTTLED IN BOND

After much deliberation with The Whiskey Exchange judges, the votes were cast and the winner was clear: the Whisky of the Year is New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled In Bond.

New Riff’s signature bourbon is a full bodied, high-rye whiskey with a bold spicy and savoury character. This is a new take on Kentucky’s most hallowed whiskey-making traditions.

The brand still upholds the Sour Mash Kentucky Regimen – a time-honoured fermentation method that creates bold, characterful whiskey – but is also known for improvising and experimenting with new styles of Kentucky whiskey. Put simply, while New Riff draws inspiration from the great bourbon makers of history and respects those that came before it, this is a distillery that dances to its own tune.

MOCKTAIL MONDAY 🍹

Since Kansas has decided it’s the DEAD OF WINTER for the foreseeable future 🥶 ❄️ Here’s a cool take on a winter favorite. You can find a variety of non alcoholic spirits like vodka, tequila, rum and more at your local Jacob Liquor.

❄️As Smooth As Ice: Chocolate Peppermint Mocktail

Ingredients:
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp water
1 scant tsp peppermint extract
1.5 oz non-alcoholic vodka
2 oz half and half
½ oz simple syrup

Preparation:

❄️In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and water until it’s combined into an emulsion.

❄️In a cocktail shaker add 1 tbsp of the chocolate emulsion, peppermint extract, non-alcoholic vodka, half & half and simple syrup.

❄️Shake vigorously for 15 seconds, to ensure the half and half has thinned and blended into the other ingredients.

❄️Strain into a fresh glass with ice.
