Hi, I’m Mari! I’ll celebrate one year here this August. I was born in Michoacán, Mexico, and I’m proud to be a Mexican woman from Michoacán. I’m also the oldest of nine siblings. When I was sixteen, my family moved to California, where I graduated high school. Over the years, I’ve lived and traveled through many states before finally settling here in Washington.

I’m a busy working mom, and my kids are my whole world. Along with being a mom, I work at Ernie’s Market, and I truly enjoy being there. For me, it’s more than just a job — it’s a place where I can connect with people in my community. I love meeting new customers, building relationships, and seeing people leave the store smiling.

The best part is that I get to work with amazing coworkers and a great boss while doing something I genuinely enjoy. And if you walk into the store and hear Mexican music playing, you’ll probably know I’m the one working!

Hola, soy Mari. ¡Este agosto voy a cumplir 1 año aquí! Soy de Michoacán, México, y también soy la mayor de 9 hermanos. Crecí en California y cuando tenía 16 años me mudé al estado de Washington, donde obtuve mi diploma de preparatoria en Saddle Mountain School en Othello. Con los años, he vivido y viajado por muchos lugares antes de establecerme aquí en Washington.

Soy una mamá trabajadora y mis hijos son todo mi mundo. Además de ser mamá, trabajo en Ernie’s Market y realmente disfruto estar ahí. Para mí, es más que solo un trabajo — es un lugar donde puedo conectar con personas de mi comunidad. Me encanta conocer nuevos clientes, crear relaciones y ver a la gente salir de la tienda con una sonrisa.

La mejor parte es que puedo trabajar con compañeros increíbles y un gran jefe mientras hago algo que realmente disfruto. Y si entras a la tienda y escuchas música mexicana sonando, ¡probablemente sabrás que soy yo la que está trabajando!
