Our event with THE Martin Sorge is this Thursday! Bottles, Bakes & Books, say less!

We’re so excited to welcome baker, cookbook author and former Great American Baking Show contestant Martin Sorge to the shop! Martin will be bringing some of his own baked goods for us to taste, we’ll be pouring a few of his favorite German w**es alongside them, and he’ll be signing copies of his new cookbook (which is STUNNING btw).

Come taste what Martin’s baking, drink some really good German w**e, talk food and w**e with us, and grab a signed cookbook while you’re here. Just in time for holiday gifting, although we fully support buying one for yourself.

Fun fact: Martin was not only a contestant on The Great American Baking Show but he WON The Great American Baking Show!

What if the w**e industry’s biggest problem isn’t declining sales or changing consumers, but its own attitude? We’re asking some uncomfortable questions about the constant doom and gloom, why negativity seems to be contagious, and when being optimistic became such a controversial opinion. At some point, we have to ask whether we’re actually solving problems or just getting really good at complaining about them.

New episode of Inside Pour: After Hours is out now. Fair warning, the glass-half-empty crowd might not love this one.

Kristy, Karen, and I hosted our second annual Harvest Party! One long table in the vines of Longcore Vineyard, a killer dinner from Chef Jim Morse, beautiful w**es flowing, Glunkty playing music, the absolute BEST group of people filling every seat, and Mother Nature showing off!

To everyone who came, enjoyed, laughed, stayed awhile and made the whole night what it was, THANK YOU. Getting to dream up nights like this was beyond fun. Getting to actually live them with all of you is even better!

Who’s Handling the PR Here? | Ep20

Big things are happening over here. We’re making a w**e together, taking a group to Piedmont, Italy and continuing to come up with ideas that create more work for ourselves. Very on brand.

But the real question this week is: who the hell is handling the PR around here? Some things have been unfairly judged for years and we’re ready to defend them. Others have convinced everyone they’re incredible and we have questions.

We get into w**e, food, travel, getting older, things we’ve changed our minds about and a few opinions we’re prepared to stand behind. Consider this our completely unsolicited attempt to fix some reputations.
