Expansion update and more
We have seen a lot of progress with our expansion! The wall between both spaces has been removed, and soon we will have the newly-renovated bar joined with our original shop.
Not only are we creating a new cocktail menu for you to enjoy around our Art Deco bar, we are also expanding the kitchen so we can create more house-made food for everyone who joins us for some tasty bites!
Two ADA-compliant bathrooms are underway, one of which will include a baby changing table so families can feel even more comfortable joining us for a meal, too!
Speaking of a larger kitchen, we invite you to join us for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - we open at noon all three days! We are open before and after performances at the Blackfriars Playhouse Thursday through Sunday. Please join us for pre-show drinks and a meal or snack or post-show drinks and discussion.
We are also open 3-9 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Thursdays 3-11 PM.
Our weekly guided wine tastings are Tuesdays and Fridays, 5-8 PM. We are even working on character-wine pairings to promote shows at the Blackfriars Playhouse and now through the end of March, Constellation Shakespeare Collective’s Festival Week (March 26-31).
We are excited to announce our new Happy Hour every Monday and Thursday, from 5-9 PM!
Happy Hour specials include:
$10 glasses of wine
10% off a bottle of wine enjoyed on premises
$27 for a glass of wine and the paté board
20% off order with a bottle of wine and baked brie board
30% off order with a bottle of wine and paté board

Recent events:
Mini-Masterclass Latin America and tasting with John Noer
Our most recent mini-masterclass was very well received with great food and wine-pairings. Our chef Chris Williams did a great job with the food including:
Mexico - Elote salad, Peru - Ceviche, Uruguay - Choripan (chorizo sandwich), Chile - Flank steak w Chimichuri, and Argentina - Chocolate & Chipotle pot de chocolate. Everyone enjoyed some great food and wine and also shared a nice learning experience.
Thanks very much to John Noer who poured several of his wines. They were nicely received and appreciated by all. And he is just a bit north from us up in Verona!
Enjoy the springtime and looking forward to seeing you enjoying outdoor table dining again in a couple of weeks! We've been very occupied with our expansion project and also starting ticketed events and changing the atmosphere at Sama Sama - painting, more comfortable seats, and softer lighting. Also, please say hi and welcome new faces as we expand our team for the warmer months.
We are entering April with a little spring in out step!
