Today is Flag Day — a day to pause and remember what our American flag truly represents.

On June 14, 1777, our nation adopted the Stars and Stripes as the symbol of a young country still fighting for its future. Since then, that flag has stood over battlefields, hometown parades, front porches, schools, businesses, and the resting places of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy.

The flag is more than red, white, and blue. It represents sacrifice, courage, unity, hope, and the belief that we are stronger when we stand together.

Here at Empresario Wines in Salado, Texas, we are grateful for the men and women who have served, the families who have sacrificed, and the small-town American spirit that keeps communities like ours strong.

Today, we raise a glass with gratitude.

Natalie Metcalf Live at Empresario Wines — This Sunday

There’s something special about live music under the oaks in downtown Salado, and this Sunday we’ve got a good one.

Join us at Empresario Wines this Sunday from 3–5 PM for a free outdoor show with Natalie Metcalf. Natalie is an Austin-based musician with small-town Kansas roots, and her sound blends country, Americana, pop, blues, and southern rock into the kind of soulful, easy-to-love live show that fits perfectly with a glass of Texas wine.

She’s been performing since childhood, picked up multiple instruments along the way, and was even a Hollywood finalist on American Idol.

Grab a friend, come early, get your wine, and settle in for a Sunday afternoon outside under the oaks.

This Wednesday at Empresario Wines, we’re serving up Egg Roll in a Bowl over rice with cucumber salad + cookies from 4–7 PM.

$10 Special = bowl + glass of wine
$5 to-go bowls while they last

If you missed out last week, this is your sign to get here early. Come hungry, grab a glass of wine, and don’t forget to take a to-go bowl for lunch the next day.

Wine Club Pickup Party this Sunday at Empresario Wines!

Wine Club members, this one is for you.

Join us this Sunday, June 7 from 2:00–5:00 PM for our Wine Club Pickup Party at Empresario Wines in downtown Salado.

We’ll have live music with Michael Alexandersson from 3:00–5:00 PM, free food, and wine of course. Michael was featured on The Voice as part of Team Snoop Dogg, and he’ll be playing under the oaks while we celebrate our wine club family.

We’re serving up an easy Sunday taco spread with pork carnitas tacos, rice, beans, and all the fixings.
