Next week is conversion week, and Friday Nov 6 will be our first official day as Extra Mile.

First thing is, please don’t park in the 30 min parking spots or block fuel tanks/dispensers to carpool. We get fuel delivery just about every day. If the gas truck can’t get in properly they will have it towed. Go to the DG and carpool, much larger parking lot. We also have other deliveries thay coke through the week. If all goes accordingly, Dumas Food Mart will officially be converted to Extra Mile(EM for reference). Fot those that do not know, EM is one of the largest convenience store chains, with over 1,200 locations (mainly on west coast). EM is a subsidiary of Chevron, so we will still be selling the highest quality brand of fuel products. And to top it all off EM, with Chevron, has the best in industry loyalty app. The Chevron rewards will still be same, but EM will have in-store and pump savings/rebates and promotions, that will be exclusive to EM. The app is called Extra Mile. Again it is the same as chevron or Texaco rewards. The fuel points will work at any chevron or Texaco station. Currently, when you sign up you get 5 fillips for 25 cents off a gallon, and you collect points as you go. Also, EM will have new to app but onus offers.

Besides the amazing loyalty rewards system, What does EM offer. EM has an amazing mmmm coffee program and your free coffee card is linked to your app. So you don’t have to worry about losing your card. EM will also have many more hot food choices from hot dogs to pizza, and also the chicken and full service sandwich shop is going to be going also. Guess what: lots of great hot food offerings and digital punch card. EM will also have .99 large (30 oz) drinks for rewards members only one time a day, this also has a free drink fountain digital card. Which Wich will be sharing the fountain machine, so you will have 20+ fountain choices. EM, along with chevron, has made massive upgrades to the store, we are a still finishing up. The pumps are getting more software upgrades so they work better.

EM rewards members will also get steep to***co and b**r specials. ALL PROMOS AND SPECIALS WILL BE BASED OFF REWARDS MEMBERS. CHEVRON/TEXACO/EXTRAMILE rewards is all the same login and all. Just different apps. EM in store offers are only available at EM locations, but the fuel rewards can be used at any CHEVRON OR TEXACO branded fuel location.

99 cent fountain drinks will be for rewards members only and can be used once a day.

Bear with us, we are trying to get everything going again. Most of our equipment and shelving came in at once, and we're trying to maneuver everything to slowly get back to having merchandise back in store to sell. I was thinking we could keep which wich going through the process, but we had to shut down fora couple of days, hoping to be backup tomm or friday. We are hoping to be fully converted in early Nov, but will be getting back into selling merchandise asap. We have gas trucks coming to keep our fuel going. And should be getting some stuff restocked in the next few days.

There is a misunderstanding of the new dyed diesel rule. This is actually a deference. If you’ve actually used off road (dyed) diesel for on road use you will have to keep your receipts and pay the diesel tax later. And that’s about 25 cents a gallon for federal excise on diesel.

We are getting close to the conversion into Extra Mile, and starting next week, we will be getting the new cabinets and equipment installed. This also means we will be limited on what we can sell for this transition. The which wich should remain open throughout, just maybe more limited on available items. Most of the drinks/b**r and to***co, should be up going normal, throughout also. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE WILL CONTINUE SELLING THE HIGHEST QUALITY BRAND OF FUEL, through the process. However, we will be down some time while the register and back office upgrade is being installed (normally 2-4hours), close to end of month. Again if you haven’t signed up yet, sign up for chevron or extra mile rewards. Most of the promos, even the to***co and alcohol, will only be for rewards members, non reward members would have to pay full retail.
