Celebrity sighting 😂😂

RIPLEY - The community is abuzz after a well-known celebrity was recently spotted at a local liquor store.

Pop music songstress Britney Spears was spotted exiting Silver Springs Wine & Spirits yesterday afternoon in a pink cashmere top, black shorts, and a pair of purple Birkenstocks.

Sonya Knight, a cashier at Silver Springs, was shocked when she heard the door ding and saw Spears walking through the door. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet the charismatic crooner. Knight described the engagement she had with the Grammy-winning singer to us. “She was very nice and polite. She picked up a couple of wine corkscrews out of a bucket on the counter by the cash register and swiftly waved them around while performing a few Jackie Chan motions. She asked me, 'What do you think about those moves?’ and I said, ‘Wow, they’re amazing!’ She beamed with delight as she put the corkscrews back in the bucket. She proceeded to check out our Fireball section before selecting a Watermelon Smash BuzzBall from a display in the middle of the store.”

Jacob Green, of Dry Creek, had his own encounter with Spears as he was making a purchase at the register. “I was telling Miss Sonya that I was thinking about shaving my head because my hair had gotten too long. That’s when I heard a voice behind me say, ‘I can shave heads! I have some clippers in my trunk, and I’ll do it for free!’ I turned around to see Britney standing behind me. It was wild! So, of course, I took her up on the offer! Who would turn down a haircut from Britney? We went out to the parking lot, and she grabbed some hair clippers out of the back of a black, blacked-out Suburban with Louisiana tags, and she shaved my head while I sat on the tailgate of my truck. After that, she took a silver Sharpie, signed the clippers, and told me to keep them. She hopped into the passenger side of the Suburban, blew me a kiss out of the window, and sped off into the sunset toward the square. It was a moment I’ll never forget!" Green said as he hugged the special hair clippers tightly to his chest.

Spears is expected to be in town until Monday and is staying at an undisclosed location. Rumor has it that the singer is in town to attend First Monday this weekend. An anonymous source close to Spears told us, “She has been searching for the perfect venue to film an upcoming music video, and she thinks First Monday could be that place.”
