Enjoy the parade, our neighbors, friends & kids who walk in the parade, & the float honoring the countless residents who gave their lives in service to the nation, as we mark the 250th anniversary of America this year. It begins at 11:30 AM with a rifle salute at the veterans monument in front of Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 207 Main St., & concludes with ceremonies at Ballard Park. Then savor the time shared with others, & remember to give a quiet thought or raise a glass to what Memorial Day is really all about- a day for celebrating, honoring & remembering our service men & women who died in service to our country. 💝🇺🇸️

Yes! Wine 🍷 DOES pair with Dogs 🌭! Think beautiful Rosé or Pinot Noir with dogs slathered in mustard & kraut. Pickle & peppered Chicago dogs sit up for a Vouvray, Reisling or the 'green' of a Sauvignon Blanc. Brats? They bark for a Grüner Veltliner! Chili-dogs beg for something full-bodied like an Australian Shiraz or US Zin. 😋🍷🌭 Still not sure? Holiday weekend or not- we're happy to help find the perfect pair to any fare! 👍

Summer gatherings scream for Sangria! 🍹😋😄 But which wine is best for this beautiful & delicious make-ahead wine cocktail that allows you & your guests to party together? 🤔 Sparkling? Red? White? Easy! Simply avoid heavy, oaky or overly tannic wines that would overwhelm other flavors. Pick a reasonably priced wine (since it is intended to join forces with other flavors) & consider: a Bonarda, Garnacha or Spanish Grenache, Nero d' Avola, Primitive or Zinfandel, or Tempranillo- either Crianza or Joven for red sangria; Albarino, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Torrentes, or Vinho Verde for white sangria; or most any rose! It a little blush of spring! This French Blonde is yummy, yummy, yummy regardless of whether it's Taylor Swift's fav or not! 😄🍹And it's easy too!
Simply add 2 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (from 1/2 grapefruit), 2 oz Lillet Blanc, 1 oz dry gin, 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain, & 3 dashes lemon bitters or 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice to your cocktail shaker. Fill halfway with ice & shake, shake, shake till your shaker is frosty- ~30 seconds. Strain into chilled cocktail coupe if you want it 'clear & pulp free'. Garnish with a strip of grapefruit or lemon peel, or thin slice of grapefruit or lemon! Ahhhh- gotta love spring sippers & get togethers!

Spring is here! 👏 Shed your sweaters & try our delicious & easy Wascally Wabbit brunch cocktail this weekend!!! 😋🍹 It's 'hopping' good & is definitely taking the lead over the old Bloody Mary & Mimosa!!! 😆
Simply mix together 1 1/2 oz fresh carrot juice, 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 1/2 oz Agave Nectar & 1 oz Tequila Blanco or Reposado!
Shake with ice, or stir & pour over ice. Garnish with a sprig of celery or slim fresh asparagus & jump start your celebrations with this 'healthy' & refreshing 'Wascally Wabbit'!! 😋
