Fleur du Maquis is a favorite at 109!! This stunning and flavorful Corsican sheep’s milk cheese is as beautiful as it is aromatic and is made from pasteurized sheep’s milk. Covered in wild herbs like rosemary, thyme, fennel, savory, and juniper berries, the name, which means “flower of the maquis” (the fragrant, scrubby Mediterranean underbrush) is perfect! With herbal, earthy, tangy, and slightly salty, the herbs on the rind infuse the cheese over time, giving it a complex and rustic character. The old saying “April showers bring May flowers” seems to have come from a poem written nearly 500 years ago. English poet Thomas Tusser published “A Hundred Good Points of Husbandry” sometime in the 1500's. His poem was not quite the same as the expression we all remember, but was more like "Sweet April showers Do spring May flowers."
Come taste some wine in Ridgefield and say hi to Spring.

Since we met in 2001, Monica and I have been enjoying the "Art of the Drive". In May of 2022 we opened our gallery in Kent Ct, WKNDDRVR" along side our cheese shop as a fun little project. Now, in our new location, 3200 sq.ft. and back on Main Street, you can sit in our dinning room and enjoy our passion for the drive. Last year I had to sell my father's 63 Porsche for personal reasons, but was fortunate to replace her with a wonderful Alfa Giulia Sprint GT Veloce. I had been following this car for over 20 years. This is Helen, she will be cherished until the next caregiver.
Look for "Art of the Drive" rallies coming this Spring
We will be coordinating some great drives to wonderful exhibits at other galleries in the area. Starting at our Kent location and there will be cheese, lunch and maybe a little wine, ya never know...

You know how much we love a good Nor'Eater and now we get the Super Bowl too!
They are currently calling for 4" to 8" but that could really mean 1" - 12"!
Let's get properly prepared with a great Sips and Samples Second Saturday with our friends at à table! 12-3 in Ridgefield!
We will be tasting lots of wine and great goodies all perfect for the game and maybe a snowed in Sunday.
