Some w**es need a little air, others need time, and some completely transform with both.

This Thursday, we’re getting very nerdy about oxygen and w**e at Grippy Tannins.

Our Fresh Air seminar will explore the varietals, regions, and styles that benefit from a little breathing room.

We’ll open one bottle 24 hours in advance and compare it with a freshly opened bottle poured right then and there. Same w**e, different relationship with oxygen. What changes? What doesn’t? And when does decanting actually make a difference?

This is a small-group tasting by design, with limited seats to keep the discussion intimate and interactive.

For our first in a series of Conversations in Ch*****ne, we’ll be focusing on one of the most fundamental components of Ch*****ne: the grapes.

Seven grape varieties are permitted in Ch*****ne, but three dominate.

Rather than tasting them as a blend, we’ll taste each one on its own, exploring what Chardonnay tastes like at 100%, how Pinot Noir expresses itself without Chardonnay alongside it, and what Pinot Meunier brings to the conversation.

This tasting is a perfect opportunity to get to know the building blocks of Ch*****ne and to experience what each contributes when they come together in a blend.

Barolo Fest was a delicious evening and a wonderful opportunity to explore one of the most exciting recent vintages in Piedmont.

The 2021 vintage is shaping up to be one of the most compelling releases of the past decade in Barolo. We were thrilled to showcase an incredible collection of w**es from some of the region’s most respected producers and vineyard sites.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable evening of Nebbiolo, conversation, and discovery.

Next Thursday, May 28 join us for an evening with w**emaker Mark Wentworth and a lineup of seriously compelling Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from in Anderson Valley and Mendocino Ridge.

These are cool-climate California w**es at their best. The high-elevation vineyards and strong Pacific influence give w**es with bright mineral character and incredible energy.

Since planting roots in Mendocino Ridge in 2014, Mark has quickly become one of the most exciting w**emakers in the region.

We’re looking forward to sharing these w**es and the story behind them with you.
