I’d like to give a huge shout out to South Ector County Volunteer Fire Department. They have been out assessing damage, feeding people and making arrangements to help those in need since 3am this morning. I am grateful to the men and women that give so selflessly to others.

TORNADO VICTIM IN NEED OF CLOTHES

Robert Calvert was thrown approximately 40 to 50 feet in his home during a powerful storm in Pleasant Farms, Ector County, Texas. Remarkably, he survived, and he also managed to save his neighbor. We were the first on the scene of the destruction in Pleasant Farms on June 3, 2025.
Here’s how you can help: **Robert Calvert's Needs:**- Size 2X shirt- XL shorts- Size 11 or 11.5 shoes- Size large socks.

Many other homes were damaged and we’re trying to gather information on how you can help the other people affected by this devastating storm. Follow First Alert 7 and Telemundo 20 Oeste de Texas to see how else you may help.

A tornado swept through Pleasant Farms' community about 2:00 am this morning. Homes destroyed, power lines down and lots of damage.

Thankfully, the Red Cross is setting up in the area to provide support. Praying for the community and those who suffered and lost their homes, and grateful to hear of no serious injuries so far.

If anyone is displaced and needs a place to get out of the weather, Wilson’s now has power and we welcome you. We’re happy to give you a warm breakfast and a place to rest and make phone calls.

Please come join us for a reception honoring James Belcher at El Salon at 2835 S HWY 385 in Odessa. Let’s come together to celebrate the life of James, eat and recount stories. BBQ, beans, potato salad and macaroni and cheese with drinks will be served. All are welcome!!  It this we don’t is happening right now come on.

Services for James Belcher will be at Martinez Funeral Home West Chapel located at 10137 W. University.

Public Visitation will be Friday May 30th from 1-9 PM

Wake Service on Friday May 30th, 7 PM

Church Service will be on Saturday May 31st, 1 PM

Following the church service there will be a reception for all family and friends at El Salon at 2835 S HWY 385 in Odessa. Let’s come together to celebrate the life of James and recount stories.
