If youā€™re going away, having people over, or stocking up for the weekendā€¦ please donā€™t wait until the last possible second to ask for something specific.

We love a good wine emergency, but we are not magicians.

Wellā€¦ not officially. šŸ˜‚

Since we do not have a backstore, if you want full cases, larger quantities, or even kegs (and you'd be surprised with the selection!), we need you to order ahead so we can make it happen.

A little planning = better bottles, less panic, and fewer sad gas station decisions.

MYTH: Organic wine means no sulfites.

TRUTH: Not quite.

Organic wine does not automatically mean sulfite-free.

Sulfites can happen naturally during fermentation, and some winemakers may still use small amounts depending on the rules, region, and labeling.

Also, ā€œorganic grapesā€ and ā€œorganic wineā€ are not always the exact same thing. Because apparently even wine labels wanted to be complicated. šŸ˜‚

So if you are avoiding sulfites completely, do not just look for the word ā€œorganic.ā€

Ask questions, read the label, and let us help you find what actually fits what you are looking for.

Organic can be great.

It just does not mean the bottle was raised by forest fairies with zero sulfites. šŸ·

Letā€™s talk about the Makku Rice Beers.

We featured them at a tasting recently andā€¦ letā€™s just say the tasting was pretty quiet.

Which means some of you missed out.

Big mistake. Huge. šŸ˜‚

These are rice beers, unfiltered, gluten-free, and most importantlyā€¦

They are actually GOOD.

Not ā€œgood for gluten-free.ā€
Not ā€œgood if you have no other option.ā€
Just good.

Light, refreshing, different, easy to drink, and perfect for anyone who wants something fun outside the regular beer routine.

So even if you are not a gluten-free beer drinker, donā€™t dismiss these little cans.

They deserve a second look.

Yes, obviously we have plenty of bothā€¦ we are not exactly hiding that. šŸ˜‚

But we also carry meads, sakes, ports, dessert wines, fortified wines, ci**rs, gifts, accessories, and all kinds of ā€œwaitā€¦ you have THAT?ā€ bottles.

So if you usually walk in looking for the same thing every time, maybe take a little detour next time.

You might find something fun, weird, delicious, dangerous, or all of the above.

Thatā€™s kind of the point.

MYTH: White wine goes with fish, red wine goes with meat.

TRUTH: Cute little ruleā€¦ but way too simple.

Wine pairing is not just about the protein. It is about the whole plate.

Sauce, seasoning, cooking method, spice level, richness, acidity, sweetnessā€¦ all of that matters.

A grilled salmon with a rich sauce can absolutely handle a light red. A chicken dish with lemon, herbs and cream might love a white. Spicy food may want something slightly sweet. BBQ might laugh in the face of ā€œrules.ā€ šŸ˜‚

So yes, white wine with fish and red wine with steak can work.

But it is not a law.

It is more like a suggestion from someone who has never met hot sauce.
