Our Family Story

Our Family, like most, has its share of rascals and rogues and like most families, our black sheep eventually reformed, more or less. After ten years of foreign adventures, our founder came home where he took the old family traditions of Clan MacKay from his paternal grandmother, the wild spirit of Russia from his paternal grandfather and the lore and legacy of the canny moonshin

er in the Smokey mountains handed down from his maternal grandfather to establish Florida’s finest artisanal distillery, near Dunnellon. Seven years were spent in Mexico learning the secrets of the great, family owned, authentic Tequilerias. Applying that knowledge allows us to produce the finest hand crafted spirits in the world. All of our spirits are made from 100% Florida grown and produced fruit.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!🌟🇺🇸 To celebrate the occasion, we have a cocktail recipe for a favorite below😊⬇️

“Old Glory” 🇺🇸
2oz Marion Black 106 (Tangerine Brandy)

1oz Simple Syrup
(Butterfly Pea)

1/2 Lemon juiced
🍋
1 whole Strawberry
🍓

In a rocks glass over ice. Layer simple syrup, then lemon juice.
Muddle Brandy and strawberry, strain, layer over the other ingredients in the glass.

Hibiscus overload!😄🌺 Hibiscus is a key ingredient to us here at Fish Hawk. It’s used in our Absinthia Rubra, Spiced rum, and Black rum for the secret final touch🤫🍹

At Fish Hawk Spirits, we pride ourselves on using fresh, local ingredients. We use hibiscus flowers grown and harvested at the distillery as a final touch to our Absinthia Rubra, Spiced rum & Black rum to add a subtle floral elegance and touch of natural color✨

1.5oz Resurgence Gold Rum
1oz Simple Syrup
1/2 passion fruit
1 lime juiced

Shake everything in a tin or throw it all in a blender. Mix and top with club soda. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Our 2025 Silver Queen whiskey corn harvest!🥃⛅️🌽 We had so much fun and are incredibly proud of all the work & effort that went into every step! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing team at the distillery. And we wanted to show you guys a little behind the scenes of the day🚜 Our mash will ferment for a month, one month to distill, and then will be barreled for 2 years to bring us our 2027 batch of our Silver Queen whiskey. We will continue to take you along on the journey of the entire process & hope you enjoy.. cheers!🥃😄•••••••
